The Nail Technology course is 600 hours in length, which is approximately 4 months on a full-time basis. The media has spread the word of the incredible advances in nail technology, and today's women are eager to experience the results of these sophisticated methods for themselves. Maricopa Beauty College offers a comprehensive curriculum in Nail Technology that includes classes in manicures, pedicures, sculptured nails, reflexology, gel nails, tips & overlays, flat nail art, silk, linen & fiberglass nail wraps, airbrushing, tip blending systems, advanced nail drill procedures, and various nail decoration techniques.

SCULPTURED NAILS

Sculptured Nails are one of the new and growing specialties of the beauty world, and Maricopa Beauty College has been at the forefront of teaching these future specialists. Our school has installed custom built sculptured nail stations that allow our students to do precise and beautiful work. Our students have won numerous trophies in sculptured nails and tips and overlays including the Arizona State Championships four times.

CLIENTELE

Our school has always had an extensive and diverse clientele. This allows our students to gain practical experience in all areas and facets of nail technology. Your practical experiences on the clinic floor will give you the opportunity to polish and perfect your nail technology skills and techniques. By graduation, you'll know first hand what the job feels like. You'll have a wealth of knowledge about the beauty industry and actual customer experience too.

NAIL ART

Nail Art is on the "Hot Item" list of todays salon services. These services allow you to use your creative imagination while generating considerable profits for yourself. Maricopa Beauty College prides itself in teaching various nail decoration techniques and then allowing the students to express their own artistic abilities. Some of the areas included are airbrushing, flat nail art, striping, rhinestones, nail jewels, lace, nail dust and polishing techniques.

VIDEO EDUCATION

Maricopa Beauty College has a complete video education program that allows our students to learn basic and advanced subjects. Video tapes, CDs, and DVDs, purchased from outside sources, make up our growing film library. These tapes are utilized during our basic educational program and our career specialization advanced training seminars.

COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY

The school utilizes computer technology in all aspects of the educational program. During classes and educational seminars, computerized presentations using PowerPoint slide shows make it easier and more interesting to learn. Students who need state board preparation or subject review assistance may use our computerized tutoring center, which helps them master any subject more effectively.

Contact our school director for a complete detailing or explanation of course costs and any additional charges. All students are required to purchase two Maricopa Beauty College smocks at $20.00 per smock plus tax, XX or larger sizes are $30.00 per smock, plus tax, prior to the start of school. All students are charged a name tag preparation fee of $10.00 on the first day of attendance.

During the course of study, students are responsible for replacing their supplies as needed (approximate cost $50.00). Prior to entering senior theory preparation for their state exam, students must purchase some additional supplies for their senior bag (approximate cost $65.00 to $150.00) and turn in passport photos (approximate cost $10.00) and money order for the state exam/first license fee (approximate cost $185.00). This fee is paid to the State of Arizona for your exam and first license fees.
